The Toyota Ractis is a small hatchback based on the proven reliable Toyota Yaris platform.  It can seat up to 5 or 3 plus wheelchair occupant in modern 4 cylinder luxury. The Welcab model we stock are factory built to accommodate Wheelchairs, Gophers or Scooters.

Rear access is provided via a manually lowering ramp and electric rear lowering suspension.  Wheelchair securement is done just as easily by electric operated anchorage points.  A lap belt is provided too.

SPECIFICATIONS

Engine- either 1.3L VVTi (1NZ-FE) or 1.5L VVTi (2NZ-FE) 4 cylinder petrol motors. Both very economical, smooth, powerful, and reliable motors. Both motors are found in local Toyota vehicles, and servicing / parts not an issue.

External Dimensions - Approx 3.95m long, 1.69m wide, 1.70m high, comparable to a Toyota Yaris footprint with a little more height.  Provides plenty of space with excellent vision for driver and wheelchair passenger.  Extremely easy to drive with power steering and a very tight turning circle.

Internal Dimensions - for wheelchair position, centrally located in 2nd row (adjacent single seat) provides space for wheelchair passengers up to 92cm long, 63cm wide and 130cm in height.  Second row double seat folds down to floor level when wheelchair position is in use.
